“From the moment we met Ewan on a Zoom call we knew he was the person we wanted to work with. He immediately understood what we were looking to accomplish and the aesthetic we were hoping to create.
As I was in the US for the duration of the project, communications was key, and, without hesitation, Ewan set up a WhatsApp with me to ensure that we could communicate whenever we needed to.
PROJECT REMIT
Full flat refurbishment; The client used to live in the flat as a student and now wanted to make it the nicest flat in the block.
– Refurbish flat to high standard.
– Maximise rental income.
CHALLENGES OVERCOME
Client was oversees in a different timezone making communication more challenging than normal. We therefore worked well together over WhatsApp, emails, facetimes to ensure they were being involved in the decision making processes.
Various old plumbing and electrics led to some complications but we worked with the specialists on site to ensure these were over come as efficiently as possible.
Having so many different trades involved in one project can be difficult to manage in terms of timeframes, materials, any unexpected variations. But regular site meetings and points of contact reduced these as much as possible.

From my initial meeting with Iona and her partner, i felt like we shared a similar vision on what she was looking for when refurbishing this property. From looking tired and worn, we have successfully turned this property into a high end luxury rental accommodation will which be reflected in the client’s rental increase.
Our various divisions have worked in unison to give the client a professional, high quality job that we are proud to put our name to.
