PROJECT REMIT

Bungalow with driveway and surrounded by garden.

  • Dry out the property and minimise further damage.
  • Assess and quote for extensive strip out works and deliver an execution plan.
  • Assess and quote for a major re instatement and deliver an execution plan.
  • Work with client on interior design and provide advice on the re instatement including major structural works, erection of new internal walls. Selection and implementation of all fixtures and fittings.
  • Help select a new kitchen and a new bathroom and ensuite.
  • Covert a dining room to a bedroom.
  • Seal off an old fire place and implement a new heating system through out.
  • Re-wire the property. Re design the storage areas. Select and fit new doors throughout.
  • Install internet and TV connections.
  • Prepare and paint the entire property internally. 
  • Check all systems and ensure appropriate paper work for compliance.
  • Undertake sometimes lead meetings with the wider project team including the client,Loss Adjuster and Chartered Surveyor as required.
  • Appoint and manage all trades.
  • Execute material orders from suppliers and check items.
  • Manage health and safety adherence and compliance.

CHALLENGES OVERCOME

Create effective communication and an effective working alliance with a physically remote client. (Lives in England.) 

Advise client when a physical site visit would be beneficial.

Manage a robust commercial environment with multiple stake holders.

Advice and assist the client regarding design and items required and purchasing locally on behalf of the client.

Ensure the property was 100 percent dry.

Creating structure for regular progress reports and on for time stage payments.
